A good water heater should last you about ten to twelve years. When they start to give out, there can be drastic changes in your water supply.
Signs that you need a new water heater:
1. Sediment or rust showing up in your water. This is the most common case showing that your water heater is giving out. When you see rust or other deposits of minerals coming from your sink or in the shower, it is probably time to get a new water heater
2. The temperature of your water heater is inconsistent. If your water heater cannot hold a hot or steady paced water temperature, it may be a sign that your water heater needs to be replaced. The other cause might be that your water heater is set to a lower temperature for which there is a dial on the front of it. In this case, try turning the dial up to medium heat or give us a call.
3. Your water heater is leaking or there is water in the immediate area that your water heater is located. In this case, your water heater probably has a leak and the external structure is deteriorating showing it is time to get a new one.
